Many people, including ourselves are quick to post our successes, but few people post their bad weekends without making excuses or blaming external factors or injustices.
We have none. We didn’t do well this weekend, but we learnt some valuable lessons. Now it’s up to us to confront those harsh realities and turn them into motivation to come back better both as competitors and coaches.
Not a great weekend for results. Aiden losing at Cage warriors. Two out of four competitors at the English Open being DQ’d before even getting on the mat, another getting Silver when better physical preparation would have allowed him to do much better. Why am I writing such an honest post. Because I’m tired of reading excuses other people make. And it’s simple, we don’t have any. Not only did the guys not perform as well as they should, but as a coach I can do more. The silver lining is we learnt some important lessons and for us the setbacks are going to make us stronger and more determined in the next step of our journey.
